We saw that our immune system has long memory and forget more allergen once it was recognized. Thus, once one is allergic, there are risks to remain very long in his life. Apart from some allergies that disappear with age or which can be desensitized, most allergies are final. There is currently no preventative medicine for 100% sure.

However, allergy is not a static event. It evolves over time. More patient is allergic to connect with its allergen, and manifestations of the allergy increase. Thus, a simple seasonal hay fever can be transformed over time in asthma. There is no turning back.

Also, beware of cross allergies. These reactions can make you allergic to certain substances when you’re with others. They can be explained by a homology (or similarity) between different proteins. If your antibodies are not specific enough – that is to say specific protein – they tend to react with homologous proteins.

Some have pollen in their structure of parts identical or corresponding to those fruits that do not necessarily belong to the same botanical family. For example:
- Allergies crossed most frequently associated with birch or hazel involve apple, peach, pear, cherry, apricot, carrot, almond, hazelnut;
- The cross of mugwort pollen with celery and melons;
- The latex (derived from a plant: the rubber tree) crosses mainly with banana, avocado, chestnut, kiwi and other exotic fruits.

In our case, the awareness of our body cat will gradually as contacts with it. The allergic reaction may occur gradually, so sly, sometimes even years after the last contact with a cat. It is too late. Hence the importance of prevention.

In the case of food allergies, often just a single new contact for the body to react, often in a brutal way. The only possible action is the absolute displacement.
